A ridiculously busy and exciting month! We managed to pack in a weekend away, a wonderful family wedding, an Art Show and two very different shows by amateur drama groups! I’ve also painted a new commission of Tyringham Hall which will appear in the gallery soon.

The two drama productions could not have been more different (Made In Dagenham/ The Tempest) but were both excellent!

The Ayot St Lawrence Art Show was very well advertised and signposted, and despite being held in a tiny village in the depths of Hertfordshire, was attended by over 1000 people!

My two daughters came to see it and to my delight, posted a photo of me with my work with the caption, ‘So so proud…’ This meant so much to me, even though at that point I hadn’t sold anything other than a few cards.

However, when we got home, I saw I’d been tagged in a Facebook post by the person who had bought one of my paintings! What a wonderful surprise!

Our nephew was married on 17th June – the hottest day of the year so far ! It was the most fabulous wedding in a stunning venue, wonderful food, West End singers posing as waiters and a disco dancing saxophonist!

So as you can see, it’s been pretty impossible to choose one highlight from June!
