This was one of the most dramatic changes from summer to autumn that I’ve seen in a long while!

From hot sultry days to damp drizzly cold was a bit of a shock!

We also experienced the sadness of losing our Queen at the age of 96, and the grandeur and solemnity of a Royal funeral.

However, the less than appealing weather and sad circumstances provided an opportunity to paint and draw. I received a commission from a friend in Australia and produced a meaningful drawing of the Queen meeting Jesus. I painted Chillon Castle in Montreux which we visited back in May, and a whimsical “Fire’ painting.

Finally after joining a Facebook group called “Come View My Art’ and following a prompt, I produced the painting above on the theme of ‘Ambleside Bridge House’.

Thank you September for the time and the inspiration!
